1. Rental Rates and Rental Extension/Excess Hours
Rates are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia. Rental rates are calculated on a Daily / Weekly / Monthly. While the minimum rental is one day (24 hours). Extra hour shall be charged at 15% of the daily rate per hour. But, extension above 6 hours consider full day rate. Rates quoted are subject to change without prior notice.
2. Security Deposit
Security deposit shall be paid upon booking payment; MYR 100 for small car, MYR 200 for Sedan and MPVs, MYR 300 for Van, SUV and luxury car and 20% of the total renting amount (applicable for monthly rental). Security deposit will be refunded in 3 working days from the return date.
3. Mileage Policy
Driving area is within a radius of 200KM from Kota Kinabalu town. Driving from Kota Kinabalu to East Coast Sabah (eg: Sandakan, Kinabatangan, Lahad Datu, Tawau, Semporna) and Sarawak will be charged MYR200 and subject to company permission. While the rental period should be at least 3 days.
4. Vehicle Collection & Delivery
Please bring a photocopy of your identity card/passport, driving license, business card or any relevant document to verify your working/home address. During vehicle collection, the hirer is required to check for any damage or missing part to the vehicles. If the hirer found any damage or missing part before collect the vehicle, please inform our staff immediately. Any damage or missing part that is not reported earlier will be considered under the hirer responsibility. Surcharge of MYR25.00 will be imposed when delivery of vehicle is done between 05.00 p.m. to 08.00 a.m. and surcharge may apply for vehicle not returned to the renting location.
5. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver is provided to Hirer to reduce the excess liability to minimal. For example, should Hirer intentionally or unintentionally cause damage to GB Global/Owner’s vehicle, the hirer is liable to pay the excess which can be reduced as per detailed below:
CDW coverage will only be effective with the availability of a police report within 24 hours pertaining to the damages caused to the damages caused to the rented vehicles. Missing items or accessories are not covered by vehicle insurance and CDW. However, if the cause of loss or damage to the rented vehicle is found to be due to hirer’s driver’s negligence, then the CDW will be null and void.
6. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Personal Accident Insurance is available upon request from GB Global Rent A Car & Tours Sdn. Bhd. PAI subject to terms & conditions of the current engaged insurance company. Please refer to GB Global Rent A Car & Tours office for PAI rates and details.
7. Damage and Other Charges
The Hirer accepts the responsibility to repair and change to new original parts at current market price plus labours on items that are damaged, lost or stolen during the period of Hire. As such, hirer’s deposit shall be forfeited. The possibility of such incident would be as follows: -
- Scratches on car body which have to be re-paint
- Minor/major damaged on all front & rear lamps
- Broken/Smash windshield, window glass & wiper
- Damaged on car seats (e.g. Cigarettes burn marks, stains, etc.)
- Fender & bumper bend or fall out
- Any missing & damage items relating to the car
8. Submission of Hirer’s Particulars to Authority
Hirers gave permission to GB Global Rent A Car & Tours Sdn. Bhd. to submit their personal & company particulars detail to the authority involves if found or suspect of conducting illegal trade, breach/violate the Government rules & regulations.
9. Petrol, Parking, & Traffic Fines
The hirer is responsible for all petrol, parking fees and Traffic/JPJ/DBKK fines/compound incurred during the rental period.
Smoking, drinking alcohol, pets, durian and doing indecent things is prohibited inside the car. Penalty MYR300 will be charged for cleaning any unpleasant odour.
11. Cancellation Policy
All Cancellation must be notified at least 48 hours before the rental date. which we reserve the right to not give refund for the booking fee made on reservation for any cancellation less than 48 hours.
12. Refund payment
For all refund process, payment will be made within 3 days.
Any amendment date and type of car are subject to availability.
14. Methods of Payment
Methods of payment accepted are credit card (MasterCard/Visa) with a 2% surcharge, cash deposit, online banking and cash on delivery.
